Season 8 is the eighth and final season of Voltron: Legendary Defender. It was released on December 24, 2018, and consists of 13 episodes.

Upon watching all of Season 7, there was no trailer available for the eight season, nor a release date. However, it was announced by the official Voltron Twitter that a panel would be held at New York Comic Con 2018. The release date was officially announced at the panel as December 14, 2018, at the end of a trailer for the season; the date was publicly announced on the Voltron social media accounts afterward with a different trailer.[2]
